          Mary L. McMichael,  81, of Shelbyville, died Monday, May 5, 2003, at Morristown Manor in Morristown.  Born Aug. 19, 1921, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of  Leander and  Nancy (Price) McGrew.  She married  Floyd McMichael  in 1945, and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1997.
          Survivors include one son,  Larry McMichael  of Fort Wayne; one daughter,  Rebecca Jo Misner  of Tempe, Ariz.; three sisters,  Doris Winterrowd  and  Evelyn Baxter,  both of Shelbyville, and  Louise Mullen  of Fairland; and four grandchildren.  She also was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
          Mrs. McMichael lived in Shelby County most of her life.  She was manager of Richards Elementary School cafeteria in Columbus for several years, and superintendent of Shelby Manor for five years, retiring in 1987.  Mrs. McMichael was a member of West Street United Methodist Church.
          Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Carl Ewick officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to West Street United Methodist Church, in care of Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

          Floyd William McMichael,  73, Shelbyville, died Monday at Major Hospital.  Born Nov. 15, 1923, in Rush County, he was the son of  Ora N. and  Frances I. (Noble) McMichael.  On Sept. 29, 1945, he married  Mary (McGrew) McMichael,  and she survives.  Mr. McMichael lived in Shelby and Rush counties for most of his life.  He worked for 28 years as an ice cream salesman for Borden's Ice Cream Co., retiring in 1976.  He served as the superintendent of Shelby Manor from1982 to 1987.  A 1941 graduate of Manilla High School, Mr. McMichael served as a paratrooper during World War II with the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division.  He was a member of West Street United Methodist Church.
          Survivors include a son,  Larry McMichael,  Fort Wayne; a daughter,  Becky Misner,  Tempe, Ariz.; two brothers,  Howard McMichael,  Shelbyville, and  Lowell McMichael,  Rushville; a sister,  Bernice Kemple,  Rushville; and four grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
          Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at West Street United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Steve and Linda Brackney officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to West Street United Methodist Church.
