Mrs. Breanious McQueen, 82, R. R. 1, Flat Rock, died Sunday from injuries she sustained in an accident at home.
Farmer.  Member of the Flat Rock United Methodist Church and the Flat Rock Citizens Committee.
D/o  William  and  Sarah H. (Cherry) Cropper, born Aug. 24, 1900, in Shelby County. 
Surviving:  daughter, DeVon Hamilton, Flat Rock; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services Flat Rock Cemetery with the Rev. Karl McClure officiating.

MR. McQUEEN  DIES;
RITES  ARE  SATURDAY

Leonard R. McQueen, 79, Flat Rock, Washington Township retired farmer, died Wednesday.  Major Hospital patient since Feb. 4.
Bartholomew County native, lived in the Flat Rock community most of his life. 
Member of the Flat Rock United Methodist Church, a 50 year member of Camon Lodge 343, F. and A.M., at Clifford, and a member of the Flat Rock Citizens Committee.
Ewing Mortuary with the Rev. Ray Bozell officiating. 
Burial will be in Flat Rock Cemetery. 
Born Sept. 15, 1892, s/o  Alfred Jefferson  and  Laura (Reed) McQueen
Survivors:  1 daughter, Mrs. Garnet (DeVone) Hamilton, Flat Rock; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Hallard (Mary) Conner, Edinburg; and  Mrs. Alvin (Edith) Coons, Flat Rock; 1 brother, Harley McQueen, Lebanon.
Three brothers and two sisters preceded in death.

RITES  ARE  HELD
FOR  INFANT  BOY

          Graveside rites were held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. for  Joe Edward McQueen,  infant son of  Harold and  Betty (Christian) McQueen  of near Hope.  The baby died Saturday evening shortly after birth at the W. S. Major Hospital.  The rites were held at College cemetery near Hartsville with the Murphy Mortuary in charge.

Floyd E. McQueen, 56, Succumbs at Hospital
----------
          Floyd E. McQueen, 56-year-old widely known Shelby county resident, died at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday at the Major hospital.  His death was caused by an embolism.
          Mr. McQueen, whose home was in Washington township, near Flat Rock, was born in Bartholomew county on July 20, 1890, a son of Alfred J. and  Laura (Reed) McQueen.  In 1920 he was married to  Izetta Nading at Flat Rock, and she survives with two sons,  A. J. McQueen, of Flat Rock, and  Al McQueen, at home.  Also surviving are a grandson,  Alfred J. McQueen; four sisters and three brothers,  Mrs. Alvin Coons  and  Miss Josephine McQueen, of Knightstown;  Mrs. Hazel Wilson, of near Flat Rock;  Mrs. Hallard Conner, of near Edinburg;  Leonard  and  Lester McQueen, both of neat Flat Rock, and  Harley McQueen, of Lebanon.
          Deceased had resided in the Flat Rock vicinity for about 15 years.  He attended the Terre Haute Teachers College and early in life he taught school in Bartholomew county for 10 years.  Later he was affiliated with the Lowe Brothers Paint Co., of Ohio, and the Burdsal Paint Co., of Indianapolis.  He retired to his farm in Washington township several years ago.  He was a member of the Masonic lodge of Hope.
          Funeral services will be conducted at the Flat Rock Methodist Church on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock (DST), with the Rev. S. J. Cross, assisted by the Rev. Ray Bozell, officiating.  Burial will be in charge of Charles M. Ewing will be made in the Hope Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Ewing funeral establishment after noon today.

ILLNESS  FATAL  TO  LAURA  M’QUEEN

Rites Will Be Conducted This Afternoon

          Ill for the past several months,  Mrs. Laura McQueen, age 77, died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday at the home of a sister,  Mrs. Daisy Floyd, 614 Elm       Street. Mrs. McQueen, who was the widow of  Joseph McQueen, succumbed to a complication of diseases.
          She was born in Shelby county on August 12, 1866, the daughter of  James and  Elizabeth (Keeling) Hatton.  She was married many years ago to  Clayborn Vaughn, who preceded her in death about 30 years ago.  She later was married to the Rev. Joseph McQueen., whose death occurred on November 14, 1935.
          Surviving besides the sister at whose home she died, are another sister,  Mrs. Lilly Davisson, of Connersville, and three brothers,  John Hatton, of Noble township;  Alonzo Hatton, of Shelbyville, and  Stephen Hatton, Indianapolis.
          Mrs. McQueen had been a resident of Shelby county her entire life and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist church.
          Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Charles M. Ewing mortuary. Interment will be made in the Pleasant Grove cemetery in Noble township.

Retired Pastor Will Be Buried
at Blue River Church

          Funeral services for the  Rev. Joseph McQueen, 76 years old, of Noble township, who died at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the home of his daughter,  Mrs. J. E. [Bessie] Stoughton, in Hendricks township will be held at the Big Blue River Separate Baptist church south of Marietta Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
The Rev. Clarence Hager, pastor of the church will officiate and burial will be in the Conover cemetery in Jackson township, in charge of Charles M. Ewing funeral director.
          His death was due to apoplexy.  He had been in failing health for three years.  Mr. McQueen was born in Bartholomew county November 22, 1858, and was the son of  Joseph and  Catherine Cook McQueen.  In 1878 he was married to  Elma Stoughton.  Eleven children were born.  On August 20, 1914 he was again married to  Mrs. Laura Vaughn, who survives.  Also surviving are five sons,  Arthur,  Leroy  and  Noble McQueen  all of California;  Sardis McQueen, of near Flat Rock, and  Ray McQueen of Indianapolis; three daughters,  Mrs. Bessie StoughtonMrs. Wilbur Moore, of Michigan, and  Mrs. Alta Pond, of Columbus.
          The Rev. McQueen was a member of Sulphur Hill Lodge Knights of Pythias and of the United Separate Baptist church in Bartholomew county.  He had been a resident of Shelby county for thirty years.
