          Richard M. Moorhead,  89, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, at Willows of Shelbyville.  He was born Dec. 19, 1935, in Shelbyville to  Warren Moorhead  and  Laura (Patterson) Moorhead.
          Richard graduated from Shelbyville High School with the Class of 1955.  He was a proud recipient of the 1954 McKeand Award for football excellence at SHS.  After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy and honorably served from 1955 to 1959.  Upon returning home, he began his career with Coastal Corporation Pipeline and retired after more than 30 years of service.  Richard enjoyed woodworking, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and attending the extracurricular activities and sporting events of his sons and grandchildren.
          He married  Barbara K. Spillman  on June 10, 1956, and they shared 69 years of marriage.  She survives.  Additional survivors include his sons,  Rick Moorhead,  Randy Moorhead (wife, Debbie) and  Rob Moorhead (wife, Sandy);  his granddaughter,  Brittany Knarr (husband, Tony); his grandsons,  Tyler Moorhead (wife, Madison) and  Kaleb Moorhead; his great-grandchildren,  Sophia Knarr,  Lyla Knarr,  Asa Knarr  and  Claire Moorhead;  and his sister,  Karen Coffey (husband, Gordon).  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister,  Judy Tolen.
          Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.  Funeral directors Greg Parks, Sheila Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Richard’s family.  Online condolences may be shared at murphyparks.com.

          WARREN P. MOORHEAD,  88, Shelbyville, died Dec. 27.  He was a job setter for Chrysler Corp. for 23 years, retiring in 1975.  Previously, he worked at the Admiral Corp., and Albert's Furniture Co., both of Shelbyville.  He was a member of United Auto Workers.  He was an Army National Guard veteran of World War II.  Services:  10 a.m. Dec. 31 in Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with calling from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 30.  Burial:  private.  Survivors:  wife Pauline Randa Moorhead; children  Judith Tolen,  Karen Coffey,  Richard Moorhead;  stepson  Joseph Randa; brother  Kenneth Moorhead;  11 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren.
