"Mrs. Edna Niemeyer, 49, wife of John Niemeyer, died at a hospital in Highland, Ill., at 3 o'clock this morning after a year's illness.October 3, 1936 edition

"Local Woman Dies in Highland, Ill., Hospital; Funeral to Be Monday

"She was taken to a hospital in St. Louis, Mo. for an operation and about six weeks ago was moved to the Highland hospital.
"Mrs. Niemeyer was born in Shelby county May 11, 1887 and was the daughter of William C. and Jesse Meloy, of this city. She was married to John Niemeyer and they resided in this city.
"Survivors besides the husband and parents are two daughters, the Misses Madge and Joan Niemeyer; and three brothers, Joe and Paul Meloy, of this city, and Dr. Earl S. Meloy of Highland, Ill.
"The mother, two daughters, Joe Meloy and Dr. Earl Meloy were at the bedside of Mrs. Niemeyer when she died. Mrs. Niemeyer was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of this city. She attended the Shelbyville schools.
"Funeral services will be held at the C.F. Fix & Son chapel at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon and burial will be in the Forest Hill cemetery. Dr. C.A. Bowler, pastor of the Presbyterian church will officiate. The body will be brought to the Fix chapel Sunday, and friends may call there anytime after 12 o'clock."
