Martin D. Osborn, 95, of Waldron, died Saturday, July 5, 2003, at Waldron Healthcare Home in Waldron.
Born Dec. 30, 1907, in Shelby County, s/o  Daniel E.  and  Lula (Rigsbee) Osborn.  Married  Doris Darling  on Dec. 31, 1926, and she preceded him in death on May 6, 1986.
Survivors include one son, Robert E. Osborn  (wife, Ruth) of Morristown; four granddaughters, Nancy Waybright  (husband, Roger) of West Virginia, Becky Brown  (husband, Craig) of Shelbyville, Deb Adkins  of Greensburg and  Rena Beckner  of Batesville; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine McDonald.
Lived most of his life in Rush and Shelby counties. Member of Gwynneville United Methodist Church, Morristown F&AM No. 193 and Order of Eastern Star No. 316.
East Hill Shrine Mausoleum in Rushville, with the Rev. Kenneth Bates officiating.
Moster & Cox Mortuary, 334 N. Main St. in Rushville is handling the arrangements.

Edna [May] W. Osborne, 81, a lifelong resident of Shelby county, died Tuesday, Indiana Masonic Home, Franklin.
Born May 24, 1911, in Shelbyville, d/o  George T. and Carrie (Payne) Wilson.
Married  Herbert Osborne  on Dec. 14, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1987.
Laboratory technician for Bell Laboratory in Indianapolis, retiring in 1976.
Member of the First Christian Church, the Willard Day Sunday school class, Order of the Eastern Star, Town & Country Home Economics Club, 40/8 Salon of Shelby County, American Legion Auxillary and the Vestavia Club.
Former editor of the "Dial Tone" publication for Indiana Bell and was active in the Job's Daughters of Shelbyville.
Survivors:  2 sisters, Evelyn Allen  and  Joan Chafee  of Shelbyville.
Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Horner officiating.
Burial:  Forest Hill Cemetery.

Herbert G. 'Dragie' Osborn, 83, 622 Main St., died at 3:23 p.m. Thursday.
Born in Shelbyville on Aug. 21, 1903, s/o  Frank W. and Nellie (Runyon) Osborne.
Dec. 14, 1940, in Crawfordsville, married  Edna Wilson.
Survivors:  wife; several cousins. 
Two sisters preceded him in death.
Retired in 1965 after working for the General Services Administration for more than 20 years.
Lifelong Shelbyville resident.
Served in World War II with the Seabees.
Member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Waldron Masonic Lodge, Naamah Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rite, Murat Temple, American Legion Post No. 70 and Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Former member of 40 & 8.
Ewing Mortuary with the Revs. Ralph Hill and James Horner officiating.
Burial:  Forest Hill Cemetery with the American Legion conducting graveside services.

RITES  SET  FOR
MR.  OSBORNE

          Services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Murphy Mortuary for  Richard M. Osborne,  72, R. R. 6, Shelbyville, who died Friday at 11:00 p.m. at Deaconess Hospital, Cincinnati, where he had been a patient two weeks.
          Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. James H. Horner officiating.  Friends may call at the mortuary from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
          Mr. Osborne had been an employ of Allison Division General Motos, Indianapolis, retiring in 1965.  He was a member of the First Christian Church.
          Born in Shelby County, September 7, 1901.  Mr. Osborne was the son of  Albert and Martha (Clark) Osborne.  On July 28, 1928, he married  Margaret H. Brown,  who survives.
          Also surviving are a daughter,  Mrs. James F. (Judy) Arbuckle  of this city, two grandchildren and five brothers and sisters,  Albert and  Dale Osborne,  Indianapolis,  Ralph Osborne,  Rush County, and  Mrs. Edward (Gladys) Leet  and  Mrs. Martha Scudder,  both of Shelby County.  One son,  Richard M. Osborne, and seven brothers and sisters preceded in death.

WOMAN  DIES

          Funeral services were held in Colton, Cal., today for  Mrs. Anna Osborne,  a former resident of Shelby county and sister of  David Moore  of Boggstown.  Mrs. Osborne, who was 69 years of age, died suddenly at her home in Colton last Friday.  She had resided in California for the past 29 years.
          SHE  WAS  born in Indiana, the daughter of  Aris and  Sarah Moore,  natives of Shelby county.  Her husband  James Osborne,  died in January 1947.  Surviving with the brother at Boggstown are two other brothers and two sisters, and several cousins who reside in this community.

PNEUMONIA  FATAL
TO  3-YEAR-OLD  BOY

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Os-
borne Succumbs -- Funeral to
Be Sunday.

          Pneumonia caused the death, at 12:40 a.m. today, of  Richard Morris Osborne, Jr.,  three and one-half years old, son of  Mr. and Mrs. Richard Osborne  of 532 west Washington street.  He had been ill since Monday.
          He was born Dec. 16, 1936, in this city, and had attended the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Sunday school where he was a member of the Cradle Roll.  Survivors are the parents, one sister,  Judity Anne,  and grandparents,  Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Brown,  near Morristown, and  Mr. and Mrs. Albert Osborne,  Shelbyville.
          The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Mt. Pisgah church, with the Rev. James Paddock officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery in charge of Loren H. Murphy.  Friends may call at the late home at any time.

OSBORNE  CHILD  DIED.
----------
          Robert Glen Osborne,  son of  Mrs. and Mrs. Charles Osborne,  died this morning at six o'clock, west of Morristown.  Death was caused from scarlet fever.  Besides the parents, three brothers and three sisters survive.  Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at nine o'clock at the home of the parents.  Burial in Fountaintown cemetery, L. V. Hauk in charge.

          Rosanah Osburn  died at the residence of  William Clark  in Washington township at two o'clock p.m. August 2nd, age 80 years.  The remains were buried at the Patterson graveyard Sunday afternoon August 3rd.  Services were held at the church in Smithland at 3 o'clock p.m., the Rev, John Reece officiating. D. B. Wilson, funeral director.

          Moses Osborn  died at his home in Smithland Friday night, aged seventy-seven years.  The funeral took place Sunday morning at the Baptist church in Smithland.
