SHELBYVILLE, Ind.,
April 26.---Matthew
Raber, a farmer of Washington township,
came to town yesterday to pay his taxes. He drank several glasses of beer, was over
come with some drug and for a while was
totally paralyzed. A physician said it was
cocaine poisoning. While in that condition
he was robbed of about $30 and his collar
bone broken. He was found by the side of
the road and taken home. A few nights
ago two young men named Reno and Amos,
of Boggstown, were drugged with cocaine
in a saloon here and robbed. Prosecuting
Attorney Blair is investigating these cases
and an effort will be made to capture the
poisoner.
