PNEUMONIA FATAL TO LEVI REDMAN

Well Known Resident of City Died at Hospital
Sunday Evening--Rites Tuesday

Levi Redman, of 404 east Jackson street, well known resident of
Shelbyville, died at the Major hospital, where his wife is also a patient, at 6
o’clock, Sunday evening. His death was due to pneumonia. He was taken to the
hospital Saturday.
Funeral services will be held at the C. F. Fix & Son funeral home at 2:00
o’clock Tuesday afternoon and burial will be made in the Snider cemetery.
The son of Levi and
Sarah Redman, the deceased was born in Kentucky on
February 8, 1851. He was eighty-four years, ten months and seven days of age.
On
November 12, 1902 he was united in marriage to Jennie Thurston, who
survives. She is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Besides the widow he is survived by a daughter,
Mrs. Effie Shepherd,
of Detroit, Michigan and one grandchild.

Noble Township Woman Died
at Home at Midnight Thursday

Mrs. Martha Jane
Redman, age 73 years, wife of Alexander Redman, died at midnight
Thursday night at their home in Noble township, southwest of Waldron, of dropsy.
She suffered a fall a few days ago, in which her left hip was fractured. She had
been in ill health for 12 weeks.
She was born in
Kentucky, April 16, 1823, and was married three times. Besides the husband she
leaves three brothers, Frank and Thomas Adams, of this city, and
Benjamin
Adams, of Rushville.
Short funeral services
will be held at 10 o’clock Sunday morning at the house with burial in the
Middletown Cemetery in charge of Stewart & Fix.

Death in Shelby Township.
----------
Anna, the wife of
Richard Redmond, died at their home in Shelby township, this morning at
3:30 o'clock of lung trouble. She was forty-three years and ten months of
age at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband, two sons and
two daughters, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John McLane, of this city, and a
sister, Mrs. D. D. Sompuce, of Indianapolis. The funeral services
will be held at the Pleasant Grove church Wednesday morning at ten o'clock, the
Rev. C. E. Burkhart, of Indianapolis, officiating. Interment will be in
the Snyder cemetery in charge of D. B. Wilson & Son.

Levi Redmon died at the residence of his son,
Alec Redmon in Liberty township at 5:20
p.m. Tuesday of lagrippe, age eighty-two years, eight months and four days. Will
be buried Thursday at ten a.m. at Knight grave yard. Short services at the
house. D. B. Wilson & Son in charge.

Mattie, wife of
D. M. Redman, died at their residence, No. 211 East Mechanic Street, at
9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning of lung trouble, aged thirty-six years. She will be
buried at the City cemetery. Services at the house at two p.m. by Rev. Charles
McDonald. D. B. Wilson & Son, funeral directors.

Mrs. Alvina C.
Redman died at her residence in Washington Township at ten a.m. March 27,
1895, of lung trouble, age twenty-nine years. Funeral services will be held at
the Pleasant Grove church at ten a.m. Sunday. Interment in the Miller cemetery,
Rev. Higgins, of Lebanon, officiating. M. G. Tindall has charge of the remains.

this morning, age one year. She will be buried at Forest Hill cemetery, at

Levi Redman, died at their residence in Hendricks township at 8 o’clock
a.m. Thursday, April 6, age 23 years. The remains will be buried at Snider’s
grave yard Friday, April 7. Cortege will leave the house at 10 o’clock.
