Arthur L. Ritter, 82, of Franklin, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003.
Born Feb. 4, 1921, in Bloomington, s/o  James M. and Maggie I. (Norman) Ritter.
Married  Marie Hehe  on Aug. 23, 1939, and she survives in Franklin.
Other survivors:  2 sons, George Ritter  of Mooresville and  Richard Ritter  of Channelview, Texas;  3 daughters, Dorothy Southard  of Franklin, Martha Turner  of Peoga and  Connie Huber  of Mount Auburn;  1 brother, James A. Ritter  of Edinburgh; two sisters, Helen Clampit  of Bloomington and  Waunetta Hilderbrand  of Mount Auburn; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by one son, Bill Ritter, four sisters, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Longtime Shelby County resident.
Truck driver for 40 years, working for George Herring, Community Grain and Kokomo Grain.
Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St., in Franklin, with Doug Wright officiating.
Burial:  Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
