DEATH RESULT OF HEART TROUBLE
----------
Mrs. Doris Ruhlman Dies After An Illness of
Several Days Was A Resident Of This City
----------
DECEASED WAS 67 YEARS OLD
----------
Was Born in Cincinnati But Most of Her Life
Was Spent in St. Vincent Neighborhood
----------
Mrs. Doris Ruhlman, one of this county’s well known residents, died at her home, 41 First street, in this city, at eleven-thirty o’clock Wednesday night, following a brief illness.
Heart trouble, from which she has long been a sufferer, was the cause of her death.
For the past few years she has been subject to attacks, similar to the one that caused the illness that terminated in her death.
Her condition had been regarded as critical for the past few days and her relatives had been at her bedside fearing the worst.
Mrs. Ruhlman was aged sixty-seven years, three months and eleven days, having been born in Cincinnati, August 2, 1842.
She was the widow of the late John B. Ruhlman, and had a wide circle of acquaintances, all of whom knew her to be a woman of truest worth, and one with lofty ideals of the character of womanhood.
She was best known in the St. Vincent community, which had been her home for forty years.
She had lived in this city only about fourteen months. She and her husband came to the St. Vincent neighborhood from Oldenburg, Indiana, and his remains were laid to rest in the St. Vincent cemetery.
Mrs. Ruhlman will be buried beside him, and her funeral will probably be held at the St. Vincent church, of which she was a member for many years.
For the past few years she has worshiped with the St. Joseph congregation in this city.
The deceased is survived by one son,
Benjamin Ruhlman, of Indianapolis, and five daughters. They are
Mrs. Joseph Klose, Mrs. John Seifert and Mrs. Pius Soller, of this city;
Mrs. Joseph Grussemeier, east of the city, and Miss Kate Ruhlman at home.
She also leaves eleven grandchildren and three brothers. The brothers are
Joseph and Henry Cord, of near St. Vincent, and William
Cord, of Hamburg, Indiana.
The funeral services will be held Saturday morning at St. Joseph church at nine o’clock.
Interment in St. Vincent cemetery by Stewart & Fix.
