Born January 23, 1888 in Moral Township, d/o Albert L. and Melvina Ellis Poland.
Married Charles W. Rule on February 6, 1909; he died on May 31, 1943.
Lived in a Shelby County her entire life and Shelbyville for last 45 years.
Member First Christian Church of Shelbyville.
Survivors: daughter, Mrs. Paul W. (Mary K.) Jones, Shelbyville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. L. O. Poland, Big Rapids, Michigan, and Raymond H. Poland, Rossville, Illinois.

Burial: Forest Hill Cemetery.

The Shelbyville Daily DemocratJames B. Rule, whom I mentioned in my last as quite low with consumption, died last Thrusday evening at 4 'clock at the home of his step-father, Richard Cooper, age twenty-three years. "Jimmy," as he was familiarly called, was a young man of good habits, and well liked by all who knew him. His funeral took place Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the M. P. Church, Rev. Morgan conducting the services.

Ibid.James Rule died at his home in Norristown, Thursday, with consumption, age twenty-three years. The remains will be interred at the Chaple Cemetery Sunday, by funeral director C. D. John.

May 18, 1854Died---in Brandywine Township, on Friday the 12th inst. Mr. James F. Rule. He was County Commissioner for a number of years: an accepted member of the Masonic Fraternity, and was buried with the accustomed ceremonies of that order.
