          Etta Mae Rumple,  83, of Shelbyville, died Monday, July 8, 2002, at Regency Place in Greenfield.  Born Feb. 27, 1919, in Somerset, Ky., she was the daughter of  Cornelius and  Nettie Margaret (Hardwick) Loveall.  She married  William Rumple  on March 5, 1938, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1986.
        Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Margaret) Hughes  of Shelbyville and  Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Byer  of Pendleton; one brother,  Harvey Loveall  of Muncie; two sisters,  Elsie Rumple  of Indianapolis and  Marie York  of Rushville; five grandchildren,  Diane Powell  of Janesville, Wis.,  Sherri Pavlatos  of Whitewater, Wis.,  Christopher Byer  and  Lori Brizendine,  both of Markleville, and  Mrs. Gary (Penny) Gustin  of Pendleton; 11 great-grandchildren,  Alanna Altic,  Nathan Byer,  Zachery Powell,  Kolby Gustin,  Destiny Byer,  Nicole Pavlatos,  Anthony Pavlatos,  Kenzie Gustin,  Aaron Brizendine,  Austin Brizendine  and  Connor Gustin;  and one great-great-grandchild,  Cora Abbagail Altic.  She also was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters, and one granddaughter,  Susan Elaine Hughes.
          Mrs. Rumple moved to Lapel in 1957, where she was employed with Brockway Glass Factory, retiring in 1974.  During the late 1940s and 1950s she was employed at Camp Atterbury Hospital and then Amos Factory in Edinburgh.  She attended schools in Kentucky and Indiana.
          Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Funeral Home, 819 S. Harrison St., with the Rev. George Platz officiating.  A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday in Riverview Cemetery in Monticello.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.

Russell Edward Rumple, 87

          Russell Edward Rumple,  87, 104 E. Ohio St., died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at White County Memorial Hospital.  He was born on Oct. 15, 1914, in Franklin County, to  Ezra and  Della Price Rumple.  He married  Mary Ruth Haley  on June 17, 1930.  She died on Feb. 8, 1994.  He lived in Monticello since 1955.  He owned and operated Rumple's Upholstery Shop.  He was an avid fisherman and gardener.
          Surviving are a son,  Ira (Sondra) Rumple  of Monticello; daughter,  Linda (Jimmy) Tieben  of Monticello; brother,  Jesse (Ema) Rumple  of Carthage; sisters,  Bertha Steward  of Carthage and  Nellie Brown  of Monticello; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.  A son,  Charles Rumple,  a grandson, four brothers and a sister are deceased.
          Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Fisher-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home.  Services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Hughes Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

          Lloyd E. Rumple,  80, Beech Grove, died Saturday.  Services were Tuesday in N.F. Chance Funeral Home.  He had worked 10 years for Rabb & Howe Cabinet Top Co., retiring about three years go.  Previously, he worked 25 years for American Bearing Corp.  Survivors:  wife  Elsie Loveall Rumple;  daughter,  Doris Rumple Carter;  sons,  Bob,  Toney, and  Carl Rumple;  15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

          MONTICELLO — William Z. (Bill) Rumple,  75, 919 Bluewater Dr., Monticello, died at 10:25 a.m. Thursday in his residence.  He had been ill one year.  He was born March 30, 1910, in Shelby County, to  Ezra A. and  Delia M. Price Rumple.  His marriage on March 5, 1937*, was to  Etta M. Loveall,  who survives.  He had lived in Monticello since October 1985, having been a resident of Goshen and Indianapolis for several years.  He had lived in Monticello during his early married life.  He was a cabinet maker, retiring in 1975 from Rabb and Howe Company, Indianapolis.  He was a member of Wesleyan Methodist Church, Milford.
          Also surviving are two daughters,  Margaret Hughes,  Kankakee, Ill., and  Barbara Byer,  Pendleton; four brothers,  Lloyd R.,  Indianapolis,  Russell and  Ora, both, of Monticello, and  Jessie,  Carthage; three sisters,  Mabel Thurston,  Rushville,  Bertha Steward,  Carthage, and  Nellie Brown,  Mooreland; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  One brother and a granddaughter preceded in death.
          Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society.
