Sandman
A Shelbyville NewspaperMrs. Anna Carolyn Sandman, age seventy, widow of John G. Sandman, died at her home, 956 Morris avenue, at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Her death was due to cerebral hemorrhage and complications.

Mrs. Sandman was born in Cincinnati, O., March 25, 1868, and was the daughter of Herman and Mary Johanning. On October 29, 1885, she was united in marriage to John G. Sandman, in the St. Johns church at Huntersville, Ind. He preceded her in death, December 15, 1936.
She is survived by two sons, Harvey H. Sandman and Chester G. Sandman, both of this city, and five daughters, Mrs. W. J. Coulston, of Flat Rock; Mrs. Paul Lindner, Mrs. Harry Bass, Mrs. Wilbur Sandres and Miss Amelia Sandman, all of this city. The late William Sandman was a son. She also leaves fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She has one sister, Mrs. Amelia Brokering, of Batesville.
The deceased had livedi n Shelbyville for the past forty-one years. She was a member of the First Evangelical church.
Funeral services will be held at the late home Tuesday, at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. J. C. Klingeberger, pastor of the First Evangelical church, will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery, in charge of Charles M. Ewing, funeral director. Friends may call at the home any time after 4:00 p.m. today.
