A memorial service for Jack David Sears, 23, r.R.3, Beeckbrook Addn., will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Carmony Funeral Home following cremation. TheRev. Bill Horner will officiate and memorial may be in the form of contributions to a favorite charity.Monday, December 14, 1981

Mr. Sears died at Major Hospital at 4:54 a.m. Saturday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He apparently shot himself at his home with a small-caliber rifle at about 3:30 a.m.
A resident of Shelby County 10 years, Mr. Sears had attended Shelbyville High School. He was born Dec. 23, 1957, in Bloomington, a son of Jack Vestal and Mary Jean (Huber) Sears. In July 1979 he married Sandra Bowers.
Surviving are his parents of R.R.3, Shelbyville, with whom he resided; his wife and one son, Charles David Sears, both of Shelbyville; and four brothers and sisters, Pamela Jo Harvey, Coatesville, Stuart Lee Sears and Sheri Ann Sears, both of Shelbyville, and Kenneth Scott Sears, at home.
