Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Shipp, 20 years old, wofe of Walter Shipp, of 29 west Locust Street, died at four-thirty o'clock Thursday afternoon in the St. Vincent hospital at Indianapolis, in which institution she had been a patient for eight weeks. She had been taken there for an operation in the hope of saving her life and two operations had been performed, the second only three days ago. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and the Wheat Sheaf Council, Degree of Pocahontas, and the fraternal brothers and sisters feel her death most keenly.
Her husband, her mother, Mrs. Caroline Oakley, of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Stanton and Mrs. Louis Clark, of this city; four half-sisters, Mrs. David Dunn, near the city, Mrs. Fred Coers, near Blue Ridge, Mrs. Henry Roberts, near the city, and Mrs. Merritt Brown, of Howard street, and two brothers, Harvey Oakley, of Indianapolis, and Edward Oakley, of Rushville, survive her.
