Shirley Jean Teal Sider

Shirley Jean Sider, 76, of St. Paul, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at her residence.
She was born July 18, 1936, in Ridgeway, Ontario, Canada, to Alvin and Audrey (Lee) Teal. She married Charles "Chuck" Sider on May 14, 1955, and he survives in St. Paul.
Other survivors include a son, Timothy (wife, Angela) Sider of Fairland; two daughters, Brenda (wife, Kent) Smith of St. Paul and Bonnie (husband, Larry) Campbell of Leesburg, Ohio; two brothers, Gerald Teal and Donald Teal, both of Ontario, Canada; a sister, Betty Quin, also of Ontario, Canada; sister-in-law, Shirley Shaubel of Ontario, Canada; five grandchildren, Melissa (husband, Shawn) Mummert, Eric (wife, Melissa) Jones, Gretchen (husband, Scott) Baker, Brandy (husband, Dave) Burt and Evelyn Campbell; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandchildren, Natalie Jones and Ryan Campbell.
Mrs. Sider had lived in the area since 1970.
She graduated from Ridgeway High School in Ridgeway, Ontario, Canada.
She had worked as a cafeteria worker at Shelbyville High School for 23 years. She also worked for five years at Plymate Cleaners, retiring in 2002.
Mrs. Sider was a dedicated member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church for 28 years. Her faith was reflected in her life and the lives of her family.
She was a volunteer at Shelby Senior Services.
Shirley loved her flowers and rose gardens, mowing her grass and tending the lawn. She loved camping. She dearly loved her family and cherished the times she could spend with them. She always put her family ahead of herself. She was a beloved wife and mother for 57 years.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Glenn E. George and Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road in Shelbyville.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, 3718 E. Blue Ridge Road
in Shelbyville, with the Rev. Dr. Robb Barlow officiating. Burial will be at Mount Pisgah Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Mount Pisgah Church Building Fund in care of the funeral home.

Rev. Wayland E. Siders, 86, of Harlingen, Texas, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002.
Born March 4, 1916, in Hancock County, s/o Niles and Elizabeth (Bass) Siders. Married Maude Pope and she preceded him in death in October of 1979. Married to Pauline (Kirby) Johnson for 21 years; she survives.
Other survivors include 1 son, Layden E. (Barbara) Siders of California; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Danette) Follett, Mrs. Gregg (Selene) Lowe and Mrs. Sam (Nedra) Rodenberg; 13 grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by one sister, Marthena Nickolson.
Ordained minister and member of South Indiana Conference of United Methodist Church, where he held pastorates for 50 years.
After retirement, chaplain for the recreational vehicle resort in Pharr, Texas. Visitation minister for the Brownsville, Texas, United Methodist Church and then at First United Methodist Church in Harlingen, Texas.
Mount Lebanon United Methodist Church 3447 South State Road 9 in Greenfield, where he began his ministry, with the Rev. Kenneth Vetters officiating.
Burial Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
