It will be sad news to the many friends of the late
J. L. Silcox, Past Grand Master of the I. O. O. F. of Indiana, to learn that on the 7th
inst., he together with two sons of the respective ages of 10 and 14, were killed by the exploding of a boiler of a steam saw mill owned by
him, at Freeport in Shelby County, Indiana.
He was also a Mason of distinction in the order.
