          Barthema,  wife of  George Simmons,  (colored), died at her home in Marion township at three o'clock, Thursday morning, April 18, of consumption, age fifty-one years.  She leaves a husband and two sons.  The funeral services will be held in the Second Baptist church in this city at 12:30 o'clock, Saturday afternoon, April 20, Rev. Clark officiating.  The cortege will leave the home at one o'clock.  The interment will be in the City cemetery in charge of Edwards & [copye ends].
