Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Spraul, former
resident of Shelbyville, whose death occurred at 11:30 o’clock New Year’s Day at the home of her son, Joseph
Spraul, of Indianapolis, will be held Saturday morning at nine o’clock at the St. Joseph Catholic church.
The Rev. John C. Rager will read the service. Burial will be in the St. Vincent cemetery in charge of Charles
M. Ewing. Friends wishing to view the body may call at the Charles M. Ewing funeral parlors, 112 North Harrison
street, from 5 o’clock this evening until 8:30 o’clock Saturday morning.
Mrs. Spraul was the widow of Roman Spraul,
and had been a resident of Shelbyville the greater part of her life. She was born in Shelby county on January 27,
1849 the daughter of Daniel and Matilda Coleman, pioneer residents of the St. Vincent
neighborhood. She was 81 years of age at the time of here death. About a year ago she moved from here
home in South Thompkins street to Indianapolis. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic church.
Besides the son at whose home she died, Mrs. Spraul
leaves another son, Allie Spraul, of Chicago, and one sister, Mrs. Louis Leppert of Fenns, this county.
