Larry Wray Stucker, 71, longtime resident of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010. He was born in Shelby County, Ind., Dec. 9, 1938, to Cortez and Fern Stucker, and was a 28-year resident of Nevada. He attended Indiana University and then the School of Radiologic Technology W.S. Major Hospital in Shelbyville, Ind., where he received his diploma and ARRT. Larry worked for over 50 years as a radiological technologist. As a chief clinical instructor and chief technologist, he was able to act as a leader and mentor to many young students. Larry was a loving father, helped raise his grandchildren and recently became a great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed. There will be a memorial service at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

NANCY STUCKER

Nancy Ann Stucker, of Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010, after a long and painful struggle with Hepatitis C. Born in Erie, Pa., May 19, 1942, to Celo and Regina Boderocco, she studied radiologic technology at Hamot Hospital in Erie. Nancy worked as a radiological technologist for over 48 years in California and later in Nevada. She is survived by her loving husband, of 38 years, Larry Stucker; and their devoted daughter, Cynthia Jones, RN, of North Las Vegas. There will be a memorial service at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Nevada Donor Network.

Robert M. Stucker, 31, Bunker Hill, died Wednesday at his home. He was a former resident of Waldron. Mr. Stucker was born in Shelby County on April 13, 1967, the son of Russell Stucker and Wanda (Greene) Stucker. He was a pipefitter for six years for Chrysler Corp., Kokomo. Mr. Stucker was a graduate of Waldron High School and a 1989 graduate of Purdue University. He had lived Bunker Hill for five years, coming from San Diego. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving from 1989 to 1994 in the 1st, 3rd and 4th Marine divisions. He was a member of the Reserve Officers' Association and a captain in the Marine Corps Reserve.
Mr. Stucker is survived by two sons, Robert Stucker and Nicholas Stucker, Logansport; his mother, Wanda McAuliffe, and his stepfather, Pat McAuliffe, both of St. Paul; and a brother, Allen Stucker, Robinson, Ill. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, St. Paul, with the Rev. Doug Finney officiating. A full military service will be performed by the U.S. Marine Corps. Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery, Hope. Friends may call today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Russell D. Stucker, 56

Russell D. Stucker, 56, R.R. 1, Waldron, died Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, having been in failing health two months. Mr. Stucker was born in Shelby County, Feb. 15, 1928, the son of Cortez A. and Fern Pope Stucker. He was employed by the OK Trucking Co. of Indianapolis and had been with them for 36 years. On April 17, 1965, he was married to Wanda Greene, and she survives. A veteran of World War II, he also served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Waldron Baptist Church and a former Scout Master for the Waldron Troop No. 220, and former Cub Master and leader of the Webelos.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Allen and Robert Stucker, both at home; two brothers: Larry W. Stucker, Torrence [sic--Torrance], Calif., and Robert A. Stucker, Costa Rica, South America; two sisters: Mrs. Ella Mae Kaster, R.R. 1, St. Paul, and Mrs. Randall (Bonita) Klingensmith, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
The services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, in the Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul, with the Rev. Douglas Finney officiating, and with burial in the Moravian Cemetery in Hope. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Fern Stucker, 78, Waldron, died Thursday at 5:40 p.m. in the Heritage House Convalescent Center in Shelbyville. Mrs. Stucker was born Aug. 15, 1904, in Waldron, the daughter of Marion and Carrie Pope. She was first married to Raymond A. Thompson, and he preceded her in death in March of 1924. She married Cortez A. Stucker and he preceded her in death in 1958. She was a lifetime resident of Waldron and a member of the Waldron Baptist Church, the Waldon Rebekah Lodge, the Waldron Senior Citizens and the Waldron Community Club.
She is survived by three sons: Russell B. Stucker, R.R. 1, Waldron, Larry W. Stucker, Terrance, Calif., and Robert A. Stucker, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two daughters: Mrs. John (Ella Mae) Kastor [sic—Kaster] and Mrs. Randall (Bonita) Klingensmith, Saint Clarisville [sic--Clairsville], Ohio; one brother, Scott Pope, Waldron; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
The services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul with the Rev. Samuel Wright officiating and with burial in the Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. till time of the service on Sunday.

Cortez A. Stucker, 69, died at 8 o'clock Thursday night at his home in Waldron. He had been in ill health for five years and bedfast for 18 months. He was a former resident of Hope and had worked as a tool and die maker at Porter's Sweeper company at Shelbyville. Born near Columbus June 12, 1888, to Jacob and Emma Kelly Stucker, he was married Oct. 23, 1926, to Fern Pope Thompson who survives. He was a member of Waldron Baptist church.
Survivors are the wife; three sons, Russell Stucker of Flat Rock, Robert Stucker of Sarasota, Fla., and Larry Stucker at home; two step-daughters, Mrs. Bonita Klingensmith of Aurora and Mrs. Ella Mae Kaster of Waldron; two brothers, Robert Stucker of Indianapolis and Paul Stucker of Cincinnati; and four sisters, Mrs. Edell Sims, Mrs. Edith Cooper and Miss Allie Stucker, all of Hope and Mrs. Grace Jurs of Columbus.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning at Carmony funeral home at St. Paul, conducted by the Rev. James R. Hunter. Burial will be made at Hope Moravian cemetery. Casket will be open at the funeral home after noon Saturday.
