Former Shelbyville resident  Zible Renee (Tucker) Swinehart, 92, North Vernon, died today at Memorial Hospital, Seymour.
Born January 12, 1907, daughter of  Charles and Minnie (Wright) Tucker
Married  Thomas Swinehart  July 31, 1925, he preceded in death November 1956.
Member First Baptist Church, North Vernon.  Active in the Red Cross during World War II.  46-year member Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Shelbyville; member and past president of World War I Veterans auxiliary; member and past president of the 8/40 American Legion auxiliary; national Association of Retired Federal Employees; former member of the Indiana Button Society.
Survivors:  daughter  Charlene B. Comstock, North Vernon; half-brother,  Carl Tucker, Shelbyville; two half-sisters,  Martha VanScyoc, Marietta and  Dorothy Borders, Nashville, Indiana and one grandchild.  One half-brother, one half-sister and one grandchild preceded in death.

Lula “Lou” Swinehart, 95, Waldron, died Saturday, Waldron Health Care home.
Born February 29, 1900, in Shelbyville to Wesley and  Nancy (Lackey) Ivie.
Married in 1918 to  Edward Swinehart;  preceded her in death in 1948.
Lived in Shelbyville for most of her life.  Retired in 1974 from the former Admiral Corp., where she worked for 28 years.  Spent four years with KCL Corp.
Belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors are a son:  Charles Swinehart, Shelbyville; a daughter,  Mary Brewer, Shelbyville; a sister,  Betty Ivie, Shelbyville; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a daughter, three sisters, four brothers, a grandson and a great-great grandson.
Graveside services Forest Hill Cemetery, Rev. Mark Dodd, officiate.

Well-Known Rural Mail Carrier’s Rites Monday

          Thomas W. Swinehart, 63, whose home was at 544 Fourth street, a Shelby County rural mail carrier for 26 years, died at 1:45 a.m. today at Major Hospital.
          Born November 5, 1893 Brazil, Indiana, son of  William and Clarissa (Briggs) Swinehart.  Married July 30, 1926  Miss Zible Tucker, who survives.  Other survivors include daughter,  Mrs. Roland Comstock, North Vernon; one grandson; two sisters,  Mrs. Otto Condon, Indianapolis and   Mrs. Bessie Thornburg, this city.
          Member First Baptist Church, Eagles Lodge, American Legion Post No. 70, World War I Barracks and the Rural Carrier’s Association.
          Murphy Mortuary. Burial Forest Hill Cemetery.
