D.  J.  TALKINGTON
DIES  AT  HOME

Rites  for  Hendricks  Twp.
Man  Will  Be  Held  Tuesday

          David J. Talkington,  resident of Shelby county and Shelbyville for the past 25 years, died at his home in Hendricks township, Saturday evening at 7:30 o'clock following an illness of two weeks.  He was 69 years old.
          Mr. Talkington, who was a carpenter and farmer by occupation, was born in Bartholomew county on July 20, 1880, the son of  Frank and  Addie (Shaeffer) Talkington.  In June, 1901, he was married to  Belle Elliott  who survives with three of four children born to the union.  A son preceded him in death and the surviving children are  Oral  of this city;  Virgil  of Waldron R.R. 1 and  Mrs. Maybelle Mohr  of rural route 3.
          ALSO  SURVIVING  are 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one brother,  Ott Talkington  of Greeley, Co.
          Mr. Talkington was a member of the First Methodist Church.  His funeral will be held at the late home in Hendricks township Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. E. V. Wilson officiating with assistance of Rev. R. O. Shumaker.  Burial in charge of the Ewing mortuary will be in Forest Hill cemetery.  Friends may call at the late home.
