          Lenora M. Tuley,  91, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  Lenora was born July 10, 1921, in Brown County.  She was the daughter of  Isaac and Geneva (Helms) Lucas.  She married her husband of 62 years,  John William Tuley  on Aug. 19, 1945, and he preceded her in death Aug. 21, 2007.
          Survivors include her son,  Mark James (Susie) Tuley  of Edinburgh; brothers,  Dr. Edgar Lucas  of Fort Worth, Texas, and  James Lucas  of Indianapolis; and grandchildren,  Anna Tuley and  Rain Tuley.  She was also preceded in death by a son,  Hugh Earl Tuley;  stepson,  Richard Allen Tuley; brother,  Rondal Lucas,  Perry Lucas,  Kenneth Lucas and  Jack Lucas.
          Lenora graduated from Carthage High School in 1939.  She retired from Wellman/General Electric Corp. in 1983 after 19 years of service.  Mrs. Tuley was a member of First Baptist Church, where she enjoyed attending Bible classes and the American Legion Auxiliary.  She enjoyed bowling, gardening, reading, fishing and cooking for her friends and family.  Lenora also leaves behind her dog, Tippy.
          Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor David Love officiating.  Interment will be in Layton Cemetery in Rush County.  Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 27 W. Broadway St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.

          Robert F. Tuley,  83, former Shelbyville resident died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Morgantown Health Care in Morgantown.  Born June 24, 1924, in Milroy, he was the son of  Henry and  Jennie (Fishback) Tuley.  He married  Gladys Zimmerman  on Feb. 4, 1972, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 31, 1989.
          Survivors include his sister,  Eva June Greenfield  of Shelbyville; and nephew,  Mark James (Susan) Tuley  of Edinburgh.  He also was preceded in death by his parents; brothers,  John Tuley,  Charles Tuley,  Billy James Tuley and  Jack Tuley;  and sisters,  Katherine Riley,  Grace Kehrt,  Helen Keiffer and  Alice Blocher.
          Mr. Tuley had been the manager of an auto body shop in South Bend, retiring in 1988.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the infantry at Anzlo in Italy.  Mr. Tuley graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1942.  He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

John William Tuley, 92

          John William Tuley,  92 of Shelbyville, Indiana passed away on August 21, 2007 at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.  He was born on August 22, 1914 in Rush County, Indiana to  Henry C. Tuley and  Jennie Fishback.  He married  Lenora Lucas  on August 19, 1945.
          He was employed with General Electric for 15 years, retiring in 1978.  He served in the United States Army as Corporal during WWII.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shelbyville, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American legion and the 40 and 8 group.  He attended Milroy High School where he completed 10 years of education.
          He is survived by his wife,  Lenora Tuley  of Shelbyville; son,  Mark James (Susan) Tuley  of Mt. Auburn; brother,  Robert Tuley  of Shelbyville; sister,  Eva June Greenfield  of Shelbyville and two grandchildren,  Anna and  Rain Tuley  of Mt. Auburn.
          He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry C. and Jennie Tuley; two sons,  Richard Allen Tuley,  Hugh Earl Tuley;  four sisters,  Katherine Riley,  Grace Kehrt,  Helen Keiffer,  Alice Blocher;  three brothers,  Charles Tuley,  Billy James Tuley,  Jack Tuley.
          Visitation services will be from 5 - 8 p.m. on Friday, August 24 at the Freeman Family Funeral Home, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN.  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 25 at the funeral home with Rev. Dan McCollough officiating.  Interment will be in Layton Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church or to the donor’s favorite charity.

          Richard A. Tuley,  70, of Rushville, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006 at Rush Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Tuley was born July 17, 1936 in Milroy.  A U.S. Navy veteran, he served from 1955 to 1959.  He had also been employed as a construction worker.
          Survivors include his father,  John W. Tuley  of Shelbyville; his mother,  Dora Cleland  of Rushville; three sons,  Chet Allen Tuley  of Hawaii and  Victor Wayne Tuley  and  Michael Shawn Tuley,  both of Connecticut; one daughter,  Melissa Dawn (Mrs. Mike) Ooley  of Rushville; one brother,  David Allen Cleland of Greenwood;  three sisters,  Donna (Mrs. Ronnie) Ferguson  of Muncie and  Dianne (Mrs. Billy) Reeves  and  Betty “Suzy” Evans,  both of Rushville; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
          Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with the Rev. Charles Justice officiating.  Burial will follow in Rushville’s East Hill Cemetery and will include a graveside military service.  Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

          Hugh E. Tuley,  Star 47, Martinsville, died May 16, 2003.  He was born on September 5, 1955 in Rush County, IN.  Currently, he was a Sports Editor for the Martinsville Reporter and previously, an Equity Analyst for Farm Bureau Insurance in Indpls. for 13 years.  Survivors include: wife,  Heather (Willsey) Tuley;  parents,  John and  Lenora (Lucas) Tuley;  and brother,  Mark Tuley.
          Memorial contributions suggested to the American Cancer Society.  Graveside services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall, IN.  Burial:  Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Arrangements: Jones Family Mortuary.

          Florence Evelyn Tuley,  80, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at Heritage House Convalescent Center.  Born Jan. 18, 1922, in Napoleon, she was the daughter of  Herman and Rose (Martin) Kettler.  She married  Charles B. Tuley  on Nov. 18, 1940, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 2002.
          Survivors include one daughter,  Linda Brown  of Bloomington, and one sister,  Margaret Fisher  of Cincinnati, Ohio.  She also was preceded in death by two sisters and seven brothers.
          Mrs. Tuley was a homemaker.  She moved to Shelbyville in 1994 from Chesterton.  She was a member of Augsburg Lutheran Church in Porter and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Shelbyville.
          Joint graveside services, with her husband, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Layton Cemetery in Rush County.  Military rites for Mr. Tuley will be conducted by local veterans organizations.

          Billy L. Tuley,  72, died Friday, March 1, 2002, at his residence in Morgantown.  He was born Aug. 30, 1929, in Shelby County.  His parents were  Henry C. and  Jennie (Fishback) Tuley.  He married  Catherine Stanford.  She preceded him in death in 1978.  Survivors include a son,  Lincoln S. Tuley  of Franklin; a companion,  Lucille Schrock  of Morgantown; two brothers,  John and  Robert Tuley,  both of Shelbyville; two sisters,  Katherine Riley  of Paducah, Ky., and  Eva Greenfield  of Shelbyville; four grandchildren; and seven goddaughters.  He was preceded in death by a brother,  Charles Tuley;  and three sisters,  Alice Blocher,  Grace Kirk*  and  Helen Keifer.**
          He was employed as a tool grinder for 36 years by Detroit Diesel Allison, retiring in 1987.  He was a member of Gospel Assembly Church in Indianapolis.  He was also a member of United Auto Workers Local 933, American Legion Post 70 in Shelbyville and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2695 in Shelbyville.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.
          Joe Woodruff  will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 135 Chapel in Greenwood.  Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

          Former Chesterton resident,  Charles B. Tuley,  of Shelbyville, Ind., died February 22, 2002 at his home.  He was 85.  He was born March 9, 1916 in Rush County, Ind., the son of  Henry C. and  Jennie Alice (Fishback) Tuley,  who preceded him in death.  On November 18, 1940 he married  F. Evelyn Kettler,  who survives in Shelbyville.  He is also survived by a daughter,  Linda (Thomas) Brown  of Bloomington, Ind.; three brothers,  Bill Tuley  of Morgantown, Ind.,  John Tuley  and  Robert Tuley,  both of Shelbyville, Ind.; two sisters,  Eva June Greenfield  of Shelbyville and  Kathrine Riley  of Murray, Ky.
          He retired from the Budd Co., Gary, Ind., where he was employed for 20 years.  He was a member of Shelbyville V.F.W. #2695 and was a member of the United Auto Workers.  He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II.
          A memorial service, Rev. David Bremer officiating, is scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd., Shelbyville, Ind. 46176.  Phone 317-398-4599.  Interment will be at Layton Cemetery, Rush County, Ind.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

          INDIANAPOLIS -- Catherine Viola Tuley,  53, Morgantown route 3, died Tuesday afternoon at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was the sister of  Freda Gardner  of Edinburgh.  Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gospel Assembly of Indianapolis, 5809 Bluff, by Joe Hazlett.  Persons may call today at Vandiver-Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin and from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.  Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Greenwood.
          Mrs. Tuley was born Oct. 6, 1924, in Brown County to the late  Edmond Stanford  and  Zelma Wells Stanford  of Franklin.  She was married to  Bill J.* Tuley  Dec. 17, 1954, at Shelbyville and he survives.  Other survivors include a son,  Lincoln Tuley,  at home, and two other sisters,  Mae Smith  of Franklin and  Audrey Fitzgerald  of Morgantown.

          SHELBYVILLE, Ind. -- Jack E. Tuley,  32, of Shelbyville died Monday night at Major Hospital after a long illness.  A son of  Henry and  Jennie Fishback Tuley,  he was a life-long resident of Shelbyville and an employe of the Sta-Tite Snath Company there.
          Burial was at Layton Cemetery near Williamstown following 2 p.m. Thursday funeral rites at Shelbyville.  Mr. Tuley's parents formerly resided in the Milroy and Williamstown communities.  Four sisters and four brothers survive.

          Shelbyville, Ind. -- William Tuley,  78, a retired Rush county farmer, died Tuesday in his home at Shelbyville where he had lived the last 15 years.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Murphy funeral home at Milroy, with burial in Milroy cemetery.
          Survivors include the widow,  Mrs. Edith Tuley;  a sister,  Mrs. Daisy Banta,  of San Angelo, Tex.; a brother,  Henry Tuley,  of Shelbyville; five step-children and nine step-grandchildren.

          Funeral rites were held at Shelbyville Wednesday morning for  Mrs. Jennie A. Tuley , 57, a resident of that city for the past 28 years.  Mrs. Tuley died Sunday morning at her home there.  Burial was made in the Latyon cemetery at Williamstown.
          She was born in Decatur county on Feb. 24, 1893, the daughter of  William and  Amanda (Brittain) [sic--Britton] Fishback.  She was a member of the Church of God at Williamstown.  On Jan. 11, 1911, she was married to  Henry C. Tuley  who survives with 10 of 13 children born to the union.  The children are  William and  Jack Tuley,  at home;  John and  Robert Tuley,  Mrs. Leo Keiffer  and  Mrs. Eva Sweet,  of Shelbyville;  Mrs. Alice Blocher,  of Marietta;  Mrs. Katherine Riley,  Manilla;  Mrs. Grace Kehrt,  New Palestine, and  Charles Tuley,  of Chesterton.
          There are eight grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters who also survive. The latter are:  John Fishback,  of Connersville;  Everett,  of Manilla;  Mrs. Lora Warman,  Holton;  Mrs. Roxie Murphy,  Milroy, and  Mrs. Stella Richey,  of Greensburg.
