          Mrs. Martha Vess  died at the home of her daughter,  Mrs. George Benson,  of this city, at 10:50 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, of pneumonia, age seventy-three years.  Funeral services were held at the house at two p.m. Friday April 15.  Rev. Charles Tinsley officiating assisted by Elder E. B. Scofield.  Interred in Forrest[sic] Hill Cemetery by Cummins & Edwards.
