RISING SUN, Md. - Joyce Kay Wayne, 58, of Rising Sun, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at her sister's home in Boonsboro. Born July 11, 1942, in Shelbyville, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Edgar P. and Elsie L. Crisp Wells. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Paul Wayne. She was the manager of Hair Clip Inc. in Maryland and Delaware. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post of Rising Sun and the Maryland Hairdresser Association.Hagerstown, Maryland

She is survived by two stepdaughters, Tina Morningstar of Phoenix and Tammi Wayne of North Carolina; a stepson, Paul Wayne of Rising Sun; two sisters, Rose L. Asper of Boonsboro and Lynette Gibson of Columbus, Ohio; a step-grandson; a niece; and two nephews. She was preceded in death by two stepsons, William Roberts and Ronald Wayne.
Services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. The Rev. William R. Burgett will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 101 E. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, MD 21740, or Concordia Lutheran Church, 17906 Garden Lane, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
