Born May 10, 1933, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of the late Homer O. and Mae (Drake) Wertz Sr.
Married Robert R. West, and he preceded her in death in 1987.
Survivors include one daughter, Cyndi Favreau (husband, Kevin) of Millersville, Md.; one brother, Homer Wertz Jr. (wife, Pauline) of Shelbyville; two nephews; niece.
Lifelong Shelbyville resident.
Owned and operated Wertz Apartments on Broadway St. Formerly employed with Shelbyville-Shelby County Animal Shelter and Pittsburgh Plate Glass.
Graduated in 1951 from Shelbyville High School.
Member of First Presbyterian Church.
Carmony-Ewing Broadway Street Chapel, Freeman Family Funeral Homes, 232 W. Broadway St., with the Rev. Gary W. Huffman officiating.
Interment: Forest Hill Cemetery.

Born on April 25, 1898, in Martin County, d/o William and Sarah J. (Watson) Hawkins. Married Columbus C. West, who died in 1959.
Worked at the former Flat Rock Canning Factory and also Arvin Industries. Member of the Flat Rock Christian Church and Flat Rock Citizens Committee.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruby Endicott and Anna M. Shaw, both of Flat Rock; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Two sons, one daughter, one sister and three brothers preceded her in death.
