Alma  "Fay"  Whittenbarger
----------
          FRANKLIN --- Alma Fay Sanders Whittenbarger  moved to the family estate in heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on August 3, 2024 at the age of 88 where she is making preparations to receive the members of her family.  Fay was born in Harriman, Tennessee on May 29, 1936.  She is the daughter of  Jessie Cleave Sanders  and  Nina Marie (Wright) Sanders.  Fay was saved and baptized on July 31, 1949 at Riverside Baptist Church, Harriman where she graduated high school in 1955.
          Fay married  Troy Lee Whittenbarger  on September 19, 1954 in Walker County, Georgia.  Together they have five children,  Pam Essex (husband, John),  Terry Whittenbarger, (wife, Dee),  Sherry Pearson (husband, Joe),  Richard Whittenbarger,  (wife, Toni) and  Nina Alle (husband, Dan).  Eventually she will be joined at the heavenly estate by her children, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
          She was preceded in death by her husband Troy of 51 years, her daughter-in-law  Marty Whittenbarger,  her parents, her brother  JC Sanders  and two sisters  Jean Mullins  and  Carolyn Harper.
          Fay was a stay at home wife, except for short periods of time when she would work to help with the family income.  She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Franklin, Indiana and attended Hope’s Point Baptist in Shelbyville before moving to Franklin.  She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus and invites all her friends to visit her in her new home.
          Funeral Service will be at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, led by Reverend Dr. Nick Coulston (grandson-in-law), Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Visitation on Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at the funeral home.  Internment will be at First Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.

Margaret  Ann  Straley  Whittenbarger

          Margaret Ann "Marty" (Straley) Whittenbarger,  age 54 passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in Indianapolis.  She was a resident of Morgantown.
          Marty was born on October 14, 1957 in Franklin, the daughter of the late  Richard Eugene "Duke" Straley and  Alice (McMillan) Straley.  She married  Terry Whitenbarger  who survies in Morgantown.
          Other survivors include daughter,  Amy (Mike) Whittenbarger Gallagher  of Franklin; son,  Scott Whittenbarger  of Morgantown; grandchildren,  Zoey Prock,  Maggie Houpt  and  Max Baumgart;  and two sisters,  Sharon Thompson  of Franklin and  Karen Santerre  of Morgantown.
          She was preceded inpassing by her parents,  Duke and Alice Straley;  step-mother,  Betty Straley;  brother,  Ricky Straley,  and brother,  Theron, "T.J." Straley.
          Marty was a 1976 graduate of Franklin Community High School.
          She was employed as a pre-school teacher with Headstart in Brown County for many years.  She presently worked for NSK in Franklin the last twelve years as a Quality Auditor.
          Marty enjoyed gardening and attending to her flowers.  She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved and adored.
          Rev. Nelson Lee will conduct a service on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin.  Friends may call on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday, May 19th from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Harris Cemetery in Johnson County.
