MRS. NELLIE WISE

Mrs. Nellie Wise, 89, formerly of North Jackson Street, Rushville, died Tuesday in Cornelia, GA. She was a resident of Rushville for many years. Born in Washington, Ind., she was the daughter of Marion and Alice Lattie Kincaid Banta. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was married Aug. 2, 1909 to George W. Wise who died March 22, 1966.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dwight (Evelyn) Reynolds, Sanford, Fla.; Mrs. Deloris Benfield, Cornelia, GA and Mrs. Virginia Johnson, Coquille, Ore; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Moster and Sons Mortuary with Rev. Gary Kirchoff presiding. Entombment will be in East Hill Shrine Mausoleum. Visitation will be after noon Friday.

George Wise
Dies Tuesday

George W. Wise, 73, 815 North Jackson, died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in Rush Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since Thursday, after several years of failing health. A retired finishing room employe at the International Furniture Factory, Mr. Wise had been a resident of Rushville since 1937. He was a member of the First Baptist Church here. The son of John and Rebecca Ivans Wise, he was born in Ripley County on April 8, 1892. On August 2,1909, he was married to Nellie Banta, who survives.
Surviving with the widow are three daughters, Mrs. Lester (Delores) Benfield of Cornelia, Ga., Mrs. Dwight (Evelyn) Reynolds of New Salem and Mrs. Virginia Johnson of Lakewood, Calif.; two brothers, John Wise near Cincinnati and Nott Wise of Marine, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Ann Galloway of Washburn, Ill., 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Alice Young, died in1946. An infant son, three brothers and three sisters also preceded him in death.
Services will be held at Moster and Sons Mortuary at 2 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Forrest B. Taylor officiating, and entombment will follow in East Hill Shrine Mausoleum. Friends may call at the mortuary after 3 p.m. Thursday.

Frank H. Wise, 81, 735 N. 11th St., Noblesville, died Thursday afternoon in Riverview Hospital following a five years' illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Coaltrin Funeral Home in Noblesville with the Rev. Lloyd Hargett officiating. Burial will be in Cicero Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at any time. Born in Hamilton County, July 17, 1882, he was the son of Jasper and Christina Cox Wise. A farmer during his early life, in 1921, he and his brother formed the Wise Brothers Realty Company. He retired from the realty firm five years ago. In 1903, he was married to Luella Taylor, who preceded him in death in 1921. In 1946, he was married to Evangeline Graham who survives. A birthright member of the Friends Church, he was a member of the Red Men's Lodge and the IOOF Lodge, and was a member and past master of the Hinkle Masonic Lodge at Deming. Surviving with the widow are four children, Mrs. Joyce Johnson, Kokomo; Herman Wise, Fredrick, Md., Howard Wise, Shelbyville and Ralph Wise, Noblesville; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

JACOB M. WISE DIES SUDDENLY

Jacob M. Wise, 73, St. Paul barber, died suddenly at his home of a heart attack at 3:05 this morning. He had been in failing health for two years and will for two weeks but death was unexpected.
A native of St. Paul, Mr. Wise had been a barber for 57 years and had worked at the same shop for 52 years. He was born March 13, 1882, a son of Charles and Hannah Wise, and he was the last of a family of five children. On October 24, 1911, he was married to Rose Lindner, who survives with four of five sons born to the union. One son Francis was killed April 23, 1945 while serving with the U.S. Army on Okinawa. The surviving sons are Edward V. Wise of this city, Otto of St. Paul and Leonard and James R. Wise of Indianapolis. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren.
Mr. Wise was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church. His funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in this city with the Rev. Bernard Burgert officiating. Burial in charge of the Carmony Funeral Home in St. Paul will be in St. Joseph cemetery. In lieu of flowers they are requested to make contributions to the Missionaries of Masses.

AT ST. PAUL

Pneumonia Fatal To
John Wise, Age 2

John Wise,
two-year-old son of Donald and May (Stahl) Wise, died this morning
at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Wise of St.
Paul. The boy's parents had been living at 737 S. West St. until this week
when the family was in the process of moving to Boston.
John had been ill since
birth with cerebral palsy but death was due to pneumonia. He was born in
Shelbyville June 15, 1956. He is survived by his parents, four
brother, Michael, Robert, Stephan and Richard,
all at home; the grandmother at St. Paul; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Herman Stahl of Sheridan, and a great grandfather, Joseph ??dner
of St. Paul.
Funeral services will be at the
St. Joseph's Catholic Church oat 9:30 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Bernard Burgert
officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery and friends may call
at the Murphy Mortuary after 7:30 tonight.

DIES IN HOSPITAL

Local Man's Funeral
To Be Held Saturday

Walter O. Wise, 80, retired New York Central Railroad employe and resident of this city most of his life, died at Major Hospital at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday. He had been ill for the past seven years.
Mr. Wise, whose home was at 302 E. Franklin St., was born in Shelby county November 14, 1877, the son of Jesse and Sadie (Jackson) Wise. He was a member of the Fenns Christian Church. On November 25, 1922, he was married to May Sandefur who survives with a daughter and son, Mrs. Sadie Postman of Indianapolis and Herbert W. Wise of Alleg[?], Mich. One daughter preceded in death. Also surviving are five grancdhildren; four great-grandchildren and one half-sister and one half-brother, Mrs. Ed (Hazel) Hirschauer of this city and Everett Wise of Cincinnati.
Funeral services will be held at the Sleeth Funeral Home Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Marvin Isley officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. Friday.
