JAMES WITHERS DIES SUDDENLY

          James Withers, one of the most popular and well-known citizens of Greensburg, manager of the Decatur hotel in that city and former minstral show entertainer, died at five o'clock Monday evening at the St. Vincents hospital, in Indianapolis, where he had been visiting a sister.
          News of his death brought grief to many residents of this city and county, and to others throughout the state who became acquainted with him through business contacts, through his service club and fraternal order activities, or through his happy song-and-dance pereformances on programs of various kinds.
          Known to all his acquaintances as "Jimmy", he had the friendship of all who knew him.  He was a prominent in the work and organization of the Greensburg Kiwanis Club and of the Odd Fellows lodge.  About fifteen or twenty years ago he was a leading member of John Vogel's Minstrals, foremost organization of its kind at that time.
          "Jimmy Withers was forty-eight years old.  He leaves a widow and a stepdaughter.  Funeral arrangements have not yet been learned.
