DEATH OCCURS AT SON'S HOME

William T. Yarber, Age 85 Years, Died
At 3 O'Clock This Morning

FUNERAL AT LOCAL CHURCH
----------
William Thomas Yarber, aged resident, died at the home of his son, George Yarber, 726 Indiana Avenue, at three o'clock this morning at the age of 85 years. A complication
of diseases incident to his advanced age was the cause of death. Mr. Yarber was born in Tennessee, January 7, 1844,
and was the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Moses Yarber. He
came to Shelby county when a boy and had since resided in the city and county. His wife, Mrs. Mary Jane Yarber,
died in March 1926. Besides the son at whose home his death occurred, he leaves three other sons and two daughters.
They are John Yarber, of Marion, Ind., Bert
and Curtis Yarber, and Mrs. Walter Jackson,
of this city; and Mrs. John
Thurston, south of Shelbyville.
Twenty-one grandchildren and one sister, Mrs.
Elizabeth Thompson,
of the Blue Ridge road, also survive. The deceased was a member of the Vine Street Methodist Protestant church.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock with the Rev. F.E. Crider officiating. Burial will be in the City
cemetery in charge of Charles M. Ewing.

William Yarber, Died Early Today

FUNERAL SERVICE SUNDAY

Mrs. Mary Jane Yarber, wife of William Yarber,
died at her home, 801 Colescott street, this city, at five-fifteen o'clock this morning.
She was seventy-seven
years and twenty-three days of age. Her death was caused from pneumonia. Mrs. Yarber was born in Kentucky, February
9, 1849 and was the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John VanLue.
On January 16, 1864 she was united in marriage to Mr. Yarber and to this union ten children were born, six
of whom survive. They are John, of Marion, Ind.; George,
of Acton; Albert and Curtis, of
this city; Mrs. John Thurston and Mrs. Walter Jackson,
of Shelbyville. Also one brother, George
W. VanLue of this
city and a sister, Mrs. Alonzo
Bright, of Albuquerque,
New Mexico; twenty grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive. She was a member of the Vine
street M. P. church and the Pocahontas lodge of this city. Funeral services will be conducted at the Vine
street M.P. church Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, the Rev. A. W. Conn, former pastor of the church, officiating.
Interment in City cemetery, Charles M. Ewing in charge.
