Jessie Lucille Zike, 95, Morristown, died Saturday, March 28, 1998 at Morristown Manor.
Born July 14, 1902, in Morristown, d/o  Arthur Frank “Dick” and  Verla (Townes) Bass.
June 23, 1923, married  Gerald Dungan Zike;  he preceded her in death Aug. 4, 1968.
1920 graduate of Morristown High School, she was a homemaker.
Owned and operated the Zike Jersey Farm.
Member of the Morristown United Methodist Church, Morristown Chapter 316 Order of the Eastern Star, Say-Go Club, Priscilla Club and the Morristown Methodist Women.
Survivors:  daughter-in-law, Wilma Zike, Morristown; two grandsons,  Steven Zike  and  Kevin Zike, both of Morristown; and five great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a son.
Services:  Frazier Funeral Home, Morristown, with the Revs. John Enlow and Wilma Allen officiating. 
Burial:  Hanover Cemetery, Morristown.
Contributions may be made to Morristown United Methodist Church.

Zike, 69 … Greenfield, died …Tuesday at Hancock County Memorial Hospital … Born in Shelbyville, the daughter of  William  and  Grace (Mitchell) Higgins,  Mrs. Zike had resided in Greenfield 23 years.  A graduate of Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Indianapolis, she was awarded her RN degree in 1922 and had since been employed in the office of  Dr. Robert Kinneman … Surviving is an aunt, Mrs Inez Wertz, Greenfield.  A brother [Carl M. Higgins - DTM] preceded in death.  Services will be Friday … Entombment will be in Washington Park Cemetery – East, Indianapolis.”

Mrs. Warren (Anna P.) Zike, 86, Morristown, died Thursday, February 22, 1968.
Born June 4, 1881, Randolph County, d/o  Martin V. and  Emmaline Life Bartlett.
Married  William Warren Zike  of Morristown; he survives.
Also surviving:  daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Hunnell, Morristown,  and  Mrs. Ruth Buhler, Charleston, S.C.;  four grandchildren;  seven great-grandchildren.
Member Morristown Methodist Church, the Woman's Society of Christian Services.
Past president Shelby County Federated Clubs,  member Say Go Club and the Nora Hicks Club.
Services:  Frazier Funeral Home, Morristown, with Rev. Osa Patrick officiating.
Burial:  Hanover Cemetery.

DR.  ZIKE  OF
MANILLA  DIES

          Dr. Charles Zike  of R.R.1, Manilla, an elderly retired dentist who had practiced in the Manilla area for many years, died today at 11:00 a.m. at a Bloomington hospital.  He had been ill several months.
          His wife,  Nellie,  and a daughter,  Mrs. Katherine Norberg  of Bloomington, survive.  Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Carmony Funeral Home.

JOSEPH  A. ZIKE,  66,  HEART  VICTIM
Prominent Morristown Resident Dies; Funeral to Be Monday

          Joseph A. Zike, 66 years old, a retired farmer, former auditor of the Morristown Sun and operator of the Morristown grain elevator for a number of years, died unexpectedly at 4:00 p.m. Friday at his home.  He had been afflicted with heart disease for the last three years.
          Mr. Zike was born in Union township July 1, 1873, a son of  William and Mary Zike.  The parents, four brothers, two sisters, and his first wife, Earl Wrennick Zike, preceded him in death.
          Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Fannie Zike, a brother, Charles P. Zike, of Morristown; a sister, Mrs. Frank Johnson, of Greenfield, and several nieces and nephews.
          For over forty years Mr. Zike had served as chorister of the Morristown Methodist church.  He was also a member of Morristown Lodge No. 13, F. &A.M. The Masonic lodge will have charge of the services at the grave.
          The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the late home.  The Rev. K. D. Vandeventer of Morristown, will officiate.  Interment will be in the Asbury cemetery, in charge of L.V. Hauk, funeral director.

Mrs. Earle Zike, Invalid For Seven Years,
Dies At Home In Morristown

          Mrs. Lydia Earle Zike, an invalid for seven years, wife of Joseph A. Zike, died at their home in Morristown at one o’clock this morning at the age of 57 years. Heart disease and other complications was the cause of death.
          Mrs. Zike’s father, Thomas Wrennick was a prominent resident of the Morristown community. One of her ancestors was the first settler of Hanover township. The deceased was a life-long active member of the Morristown M.E. church.
          Besides the husband she leaves three sisters, Mrs. E.C. Hawley, of Ringwood, Illinois, Mrs. F. E. [Cora] Stonebraker, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Mrs. W.H. [Martha] Phillipy, of Morristown. Two nieces and three nephews also survive.
          Funeral services will be held at the home at 2:00 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. L. V. Hauk is the funeral director in charge.
