Rutherford

My husband found this display at the Atterbury Bakalar Air Museum in Columbus, Indiana.  Madge Rutherford Minton,  1920-2004, was raised in St. Omer, Decatur County, Indiana.  She was one of the first four women in the U.S. to graduate from the Advanced Civilian Pilot Training Program.  In 1943 she joined the WASPs and ferried Army airplanes to military bases.
