James Sylvester Coffey  was born about ~1812 in Rockingham County, NC.
In 1837, James Sylvester Coffey married  Sarah  Carter in Shelby County, Indiana.
Sarah was born about 1819 in Rockingham County, North Carolina.  Her father was  Wilford Carter.
James was born in VA in ~1771.  Wilford married Catharine Dodd, born ~1775.
