| WORKS IN GROCERY ON 70TH BIRTHDAY (Sepcial in the Indianapolis Star.) NORRISTOWN, Ind., Aug. 8 --- Mrs. E. D. VanGorden of Norristown celebrated her seventieth birthday with her usual routine, work in a small grocery store here. Mrs. Van- Gorden, for thirty-five years a resi- dent of Indianapolis, has lived in Norristown for the last six years. She has five children, Mrs. Bessie Harris, Mrs. Clara Cropper, Mrs. Cecil Allen, Mrs. Ethel Harris and Arthur Palmes. Note from Peggy: This is my great-grandmother, Naomi (Dicks Palmes) VanGorden. |
