      VS             Complaint for Divorce
Nannie C. Amos

          Thomas Amos  complains of  Nannie C. Amos and says that he is and has been for more than two years last past a resident of Moral Township Shelby County and State of Indiana and on the 29th day of November AD 1888 he was married to the defendant and that on the 12th day of May AD 1890 the defendant abandoned the plaintiff without just cause-and they have not lived together since said time.  That defendant has one two other occasion separated from the plaintiff in a cruel and inhuman manner causing him great pain an anguish of mind by her ill temper, scolding, and angrily approaching him, talking and abusing him among the neighbors and attempting to organize a Whit Cap organization to Commit personal violence upon him.  That there was born to said marriage one child - a girl- now 8 months old and that she is an unproper person to have the custody of said Child.
          That plaintiffs occupation is that of a farmer and laborer.  Whereupon plaintiff seeks and demands judgment for divorce and Custody of said Child and for all other proper relief.
