County of Shelby   SS

          BE  IT  KNOWN, That on the 9th day of October A.D., 1854, personally appeared in the Shelby Circuit Court before the Clerk thereof,  Elisha Curson  an alien, and reports himself for Naturalization, and being duly sworn on oath declares that he is a native of England aged about thirty nine years, and owes allegiance to the Queen of Great Britain, that he emigrated thence, embarked at Liverpool and arrived at New Orleans in the United States, on the 29th day of January A. D., 1854 and that it is bona fide his intention to reside in and become A Citizen Of The United States, and to renounce forever All Allegiance and Fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever; and particularly to Victoria Queen of Great Britain.
          Sworn and subscribed the 9th day of October 1854

          Be It Known, that on the 16th day of May A.D., 1854, personally appeared in the Shelby Circuit Court, before the Clerk thereof,  Thomas Curson  an alien, and reports himself for Naturalization, and being duly sworn on oath declares that he is a native of England aged about 43 years, and owes allegiance to Victoria Queen of Great Britain that he emigrated thence, embarked at Liverpool in England and arrived at New York in the United States, on the 4th day of May A.D., 1851 and that it is bona fide his intention to reside in and become A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever All Allegiance and Fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever; and particularly to Victoria Queen of Great Britain.

          Be It Known, that on the third day of April A.D., 1854, personally appeared in the Shelby Circuit Court, before the Clerk thereof,  Josiah Curson  an alien, and reports himself for Naturalization, and being duly sworn on oath declares that he is a native of England aged about thirty two years, and owes allegiance to Victoria Queen of Great Britain that he emigrated thence, embarked at Liverpool and arrived at New York in the United States, on the 4th day of May A.D., 1851 and that it is bona fide his intention to reside in and become A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever All Allegiance and Fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever; and particularly to Victoria Queen of Great Britain and Ireland.
