The State of Indiana
            The undersigned, applicant for Letters of Guardianship on the persons and estates of  Geo. O. Howery,  James L. Howery,  Jacob Howery,  Clara Howery,  Ida Howery,  Columbus Howery,  Cornelius Howery minor heirs of  Loyal Howery  late of White County, Illinois.  Said minors reside in Kansas, Illinois & Indiana, and are the joint owners of Real Estate situate in said County, of the probable value of Seven Hundred Dollars, which will rent annually for about the sum of Twenty-five Dollars.

Your Guardian further shows that he has acted as guardian for said wards since the day of 1886 and has been made a partie to several suits wherein his wards have interests, that he has on several dates & occasions had to receive various sum of money from the Commissioner appointed to sell wards land & receipt for rent for which he charged his wards Ten (10.00) dollars Each which your guardian thinks reasonable for the various amounts of labor & time expended in the behalf for which he files his vouchers herein that said wards have more money due them from the sale of land which has not been paid to your Guardian.
            That said wards are yet under the ages of 21 years old wherefore your guardian prays the Court to Examine and approve this Report & continue said trust.

December Term of Shelby Circuit Court

To the Hon The Judge of the Shelby Circuit Court
            The undersigned Guardian of the person and Estate of Cornelius Howery minor would show to the Court that his said ward departed this life intestate on the __ day of August 1888 as affiant is informed & believes. That said ward at the time of his death was the owner of personal property which is in the hands of your Guardian & J. A. Tindall who was appointed by this Court a Commission to sell wards land [with after?]. That sum will soon be paid to this guardian which will amount in all will be about Not exceed $120.00 One Hundred Twenty Dollars. That the above money is all the property & money or effects of whatever value kind that has come to his knowledge wherefore he prays an order of this court directing him to settle said wards Estate without letters of Administration thereon and further he says not.             George W. Howery, Jacob Howery, Clara Howery, Ida Howery, Columbus Howery, Cornelius Howery files the following Inventory of his said wards Estate said wards were the Joint owners with Sarah Howery of 8/9 of 32 acres of Real Estate. That the Court has appointed a Commission and ordered land sold at suit of Kate Weed VS Geo. W. Howery etal, that he has received from such Commission the sum of $348.64. That your Guardian understands this will yet be paid by said Commission $560.00. That Guardian Received of Graham as Rents of wards Real Estate $62.50. The above is all the property that has come to his knowledge.

That said wards were made parties various actions in the settlement of Jacob Howery Estate from which Estate said heirs receive their Estate that on various occasion he has had to receive rents, Money from Commissionersat various times and money from Admr of Jacob Howery Estate that he has had to keep a separate account for said ward that he has filed his voucher herein for said same as shown in said Report.             Geo. A. Tindall Commission for Each of said ward, the sum of $37.62 amounting to $75.24 Interest on same to date $5.50 Total $258.08
And your guardian further says that his ward Ida Howery is entitled to ˝ of total charge amounting to $129.04.

That your guardian having no funds in his hands for said wards would ask the Court to Examine this Report and approve the same and Discharge him from his said trust.
