Will  and  Testament
of
Lettie  Jane  Graham


As recorded in Shelby Co. Will Record Book 3, p. 28


In the name of the Benevolent Father of All I  Lettie Jane Graham  of Noble Township Shelby County Indiana do make and publish this my last Will and Testament:

Item 1.   I give and devise to my four children  Thomas Swanegan  John Swanegan,  Sarah Solomon  and  Ruth Solomon  the land on which I now reside to be divided equally among ... them, said land being located in Noble Township, Shelby County Indiana described as follows NE pt W 1/2 NE Sec 22 Town 11 N. R. 7 E, containing Nine (9) acres.

Item 2.   I give and devise to my son  William A Mitchell,  all of my personal property after my debts have been paid out of the same except Five Dollars which I will to my daughter  Mary A Sexton.

Item 3.   I do hereby nominate and appoint my son  William A Mitchell  Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby authorizing and empowering him to compromise adjust, release and discharge in such manner as he may deem proper, the debts and claims due me I do also authorize and empower him if it shall become necessary in order to pay my debts, to sell by private sale or in such manner upon such terms of credit or otherwise as he may think proper all or part of my personal property.

I hereby revoke all former Wills by me made:  In testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand an Seal this the 23' day of February AD 1892

The above named  Lettie J Graham  signed the foregoing Will in our presence and we each subcribe our names hereto as witnesses to her said signature, we having also signed our names hereto in her presence and in the presence of each other

Submitted by Don T. Mitchell, great great grandson of Lettie Jane (Brown) (Mitchell) (Swanigan) Graham, a three-times widow who is buried in the Mitchell plot at Floyd cemetery in Noble Twp. near her 9 acres under the name "Lette J. Swanigan".
