Last  Will  and  Testament
of
Mary  Hendrickson

I,  Mary Hendrickson,  of Shelby County, in the State of Indiana, make and publish this, my last will and testament, and hereby revoke all former wills made by me.

Item one.          I direct that all my just debts, funeral expense, expense of my last sickness and costs of administration first be paid.

Item two.          Of the residue of my estate, I will and devise to my beloved sister, Rebecca Coles  the full one fifth part of said residue of my estate.

Item three.          To my beloved brother  James B. Thornburg,  I will, devise and bequeath the one fifth part of such residue.

Item four.          To my beloved nephew, Harry Mount, son of my deceased sister, Nancy Mount, I will and devise and bequeath the one tenth part of such residue.

Item five.          To my niece, Della E. Wooden, daughter of my deceased sister, Nancy Mount, I will, devise and bequeath the one tenth part of such residue.

Item six.          To my sister, Marie Ellen Copeland, I will devise and bequeath the full one fifth part of such residue.

Item seven.          To  Evlin and Ralph Eward,  the children of  Roxanna Eward, who was the daughter of my deceased brother, Mary Thornburg, I will, devise and bequeath the full one tenth part of such residue.

Item eight.          To  Calvin Thornburg,  son of my said deceased brother, Merit Thornburg, I will, devise and bequeath the full one tenth part of such residue.

Item nine.          In the event of the death of any of said devisees above named before my death, then I will, devise and bequeath the provisions made in this will to the children or descendants of any such children living at said time, but if any of said devisees shall die before my death leaving no children or the descendants of children, then the provisions made in this will for such devisee are willed, devised and bequeath to the other legatees named in this will in the same proportion that I have devised the residue of my estate.

Item ten.          I hereby nominate and appoint  Harry Mount  of Greensburg, Indiana, who is my nephew to act as executor of this will and carry out the provisions thereof.

In Witness Whereof, the said Mary Hendrickson has hereunto set her hand and seal, this 25th. day of April, 1914.

The said Mary Hendrickson signed and acknolwedged the foregoing as her last will and testament in our presence and at her request, the undersigned signed and attested her execution of said will in her presence and in the presence of each other, this 25th. day of April, 1914.

State of Indiana, Shelby County, SS:
          Be it remembered, that on the 27th day of May, A.D., 1916 the 12 judicial day of the May Term of the Shelby Circuit Court in said year, come into open Court Kendall M. Hord and produces in Court an instrument in writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Mary Hendrickson, deceased, and now moves the admittance thereof to probate and record, and in proof of said Will introduces Kendall M. Hord the subscribing witnesses thereto, who being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court, on oath, declare and testify as follows, that is to say: That on the 25 day of April 1914 he saw the said Mary Hendrickson sign her name to said instrument in writing as and for her last Will and Testament; and that this deponent, at the same time, at the request of the said Mary Hendrickson and with her consent attested and subscribed by the said Kendall M. Hord and Herbert C. Jones in the presence of said testator, and in the presence of each other, as subscribing witnesses thereto, and that the said Mary Hendrickson was, at the

at the time of the Signing and subscribing of said instrument in writing, as aforesaid, of full age (that is, more than twenty-one years of age) and of sound and disposing mind and memory,and not under any coercion or restraint, as the said deponent verily believes, and further deponent says not.

Sworn to and subscribed by the said Kendall M. Hord before me Cecil B. Collins Clerk of said Court, at Shelbyville Indiana, the 27th day of May 1916.

Whereupon it is ordered, adjudged and decreed by the Court that said instrument in writing purporting to be the last will of Mary Hendrickson deceased, is the last Will and Testament of Mary Hendrickson deceased, and is hereby admitted to probate and record in this Court.

State of Indiana, Shelby County, SS:
          I, Cecil B. Collins Clerk of the Circuit Court of Shelby County, Indiana, do hereby certify that the within annexed Will and Testament of Mary Hendrickson, has been duly admitted to probate, and duly proved by the testimony of Kendall M. Hord one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, that a complete record of said Will, and of the testimony of the said Kendall M. Hord in proof thereof, has been by me duly made and recorded in Book 7 at Pages 131 & 132 of the record of Wills of said County.

          IN  ATTESTATION  WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name, and affixed the seal of said Court, at Shelbyville Indiana, this 27 day of May 1916.
