Hi, I am new to this list. I am looking for information on Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Shelby County, Indiana. My 3rd
great grandparents are John FRENCH, who died December 24, 1864 and Lydia Margaret SPURLING FRENCH, who died December
22, 1842. They are both buried in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. There is also a Tunis SPURLING buried there, who was born
about 1795, but I do not know if he is related to me. I have a lot of BEARD information to share. My grandfather
is Jasper BEARD, who was born in Shelbyville, Shelby County, Indiana on May 9, 1897. I am also looking for information

KOPP, Joseph and wife Maria Agatha (FAUST) KOPP moved to Shelbyville from Oldenburg, Franklin Co, IN, around 1875.
They had two daughters (that I know of): Elizabeth, b Jul 24, 1869; and Rosa Catharina, b Sep 19, 1871. Joseph
was born about 1844, in OH. He died in Shelbyville, at age 48, Dec 4, 1892. Maria was born about 1847, in St. Peter,
IN. She died in Shelbyville, at age 64, Jan 17, 1912. Joseph served in the 83rd IN Infantry Regiment. He and Maria
married Nov 12, 1866, in St. Peter, Franklin Co, IN. Any information about the two daughters, or any other possible
children, would be greatly appreciated.

Jonathan McKenney m. Cora Adams 3 Aug 1893 in Shelby Co., IN. I would like to know something of this man's parents
and grandparents. I don't know that my McKenney line is linked to him. However, I do have my known ancestor, Jonathan
McKenney, b. ca 1808 in KY. I have no idea who his parents were or if he had any siblings! The first real record
that I have of him is when he married in Montgomery Co, IN in 1834. Since given names seem to "run in families"
I am researching every single Jonathan McKenney that I find in the region that I know that my ancestor lived! I

I am researching two families with Shelby Co ties. The Evans family consists of Jacob A. Evans who was born in
Shelby Co on September 25, 1842. His bride was also born in Shelby Co on November 10, 1846. Her name was Louisa
Ray. Her parents were Burgess D. Ray and Lydia Lake. Her parents were married in Shelby Co on October 23, 1845.
Both Jacob Evans (and family?) and the Burgess Ray family ended up in Effingham Co in 1853. Jacob married Louisa
on November 16, 1862 (probably in Effingham Co, IL but this is not yet confirmed with a primary record). They lived
in Effingham Co, IL raising five children. Two of the children died young, three grew to adults and had offspring
of their own. If you believe you may have connections to either family, please contact me. I am willing to share
information.

April 1901. They had two children: Lena Rosena (b. 10 Sept. 1874; married William M. O'Neal in 1892; died in Connersville

I have found a Polly A. BURNS and Jacob SUTHERLAND in the 1860 Shelby County Census (although they are not listed
on the Shelby County site census listings). Polly is listed in Washington Twp, and Jacob is listed at 2 W Shelbyville.
I'm trying to find out if these are my great-great- grandparents. I only have when they were born (Polly in 1838
and Jacob in 1830), and not knowing when they were married, this could possibly be them. Their first child was
born in 1863. Does anyone have access to the census, who could tell me what else it says about them and who else

Looking for information on Charles Drain and his wife Esther Wilson Hawthorne. They moved to Shelby County in 1823

Looking for information on Rev. William J.H. Boetcker pastor of the First German Presbyterian Church of Shelbyville
when the "Picturesque Shelbyville" was published in 1902. Rumor had it that Rev. Boetcker left town with
the proceeds of the books and money collected to build their new church. I have found no verification of this.
Rev. Boetcker left Shelbyville early in 1907 for Toledo, Ohio. He went on to become a very well known lecturer
throughout the US on Industrial Relations. and died in Erie PA in 1962. Does anyone have any info on him during
his time in Shelbyville (1901-1907) What happened ? Why did the church fail ?

I am searching for info on Dora Whitty Sanderfer Rottmayer, born 1877 in Louisville, KY and died Nov 1965. Her
residence at the time of her death was Fairland, Shelby County, IN. She had three Sanderfer children, Albert, Louise,

HUGHES-HECK- MOORE-HARRIS On 25 Oct 1829, John Heck married Nancy Hughes in Shelby County. On 18 Mar 1840 John
married a second time to Keziah Moore. Who were the parents of Nancy Hughes? Did John and Nancy have any children?
Did Nancy's parents ever mention grandchildren by the last name of Heck?
I can now connect all of the Heck's in Shelby County before 1850 but one. On 14 Oct 1847 Mary Heck married Samuel
B. Harris. In the 1850 census they are living in Hendricks Township with son Lewis, age 2, and daughter Elizabeth,
