Last Friday a large
number of friends met at Mr. Nelson's and gave his wife a
surprise dinner. One hundred and four people ate dinner and every one had
a good time.
Last Sunday evening one
of our young men, with a borrowed rig, started out to find himself a girl.
He hadn't the courage to ask her at Sunday school, but after she had gone to a
friend's he rode past the house only eight times. He then decided he would
go to Geneva and get a girl, ut he came back without one. He then waited
until after evening servics, when he screwed up his courage to ask her company
home, but received the glove. Poor fellow! Girls, you should be good
to such as he. "How did I act tonight?"
PLOUGH BOY.
