He begins working for Ben McCarty the first of March.
A party was given in the
honor of Elsia Amos Saturday evening, it being her
seventeenth birthday. Quite a number of her relatives and friends were
present and on departing wished her many more birthday anniversaries. Mr. Charles Street,
who works for the superintendent of the county poor farm, and Miss
Eunice Fately, of Washington township, were married Sunday
evening. John Means, his brother-in-law, gave an oyster
supper Monday evening in their respect. There were a large number present,
all wishing them a long and happy life.

I had heard of Possumtown. It was located in Union
Township near the Little Blue River Baptist Church. But I didn't recognize any
of those names.
